Recycled and pressed upholstery fabric

These furniture fabrics are collected locally in Denmark, assembled and compressed under high pressure. The pressure and heat released transform the soft furniture fabrics into a hard board with carpet pad and top layer. So hard, in fact, that you are guaranteed a table top that does not warp and is resistant to scratches. This material is used for the Rex table tops. Available in different colors and sizes.

A pioneering alternative Our Textile Tabletop™ is a circular, high-performance solution. Made from recycled end-of-life textile scraps, Textile Tabletop™ is a decorative and high-quality alternative to conventional materials. By 2025, we have reduced the carbon footprint of our Textile Tabletop™ from 13.3 kg/m² to 9.4 kg CO2. This represents an estimated 30% reduction in CO2 equivalent emissions compared to a conventional tabletop, measured over the entire life cycle - from raw material extraction to a finished tabletop ready for assembly.

Rex can be made with two circular tops, either 12 or 18 millimeters thick. The 12-millimeter tabletop consists of layers of wood fibers that are compressed under high pressure until a hard plate is created. For the 18-millimeter top, old T-shirts and furniture fabrics are pressed together until a compact tabletop is created, with a solid bottom and top layer.
