Honest, innovative & responsible.

In 2019, we decided it could be done, a future where the world remains livable AND we enjoy beautiful, quality products. But to do that, things have to be done differently, and there has to be a shift in the way we produce. We decided to take the first step. Our journey to a more sustainable future began with the redevelopment of the Rex and Kwart chairs. Working with recycled materials and waste proved to be a great challenge, the redevelopment of designs is an intensive process where every aspect has to be re-examined and tested. We put our shoulders to the wheel!

Timeless designer furniture ready for the future.

Our collection consists of re-released designs by old masters, as well as new designs created by emerging talents. Quirky designs, made for quirky characters.

Circular materials from unexpected corners.

By making smart choices for products with a low footprint and reusing them, we make a positive contribution to the world. And no one who sees the difference.

Form follows material.

We take a different approach, turning the design process around. First, we look at the most common recycled plastics in our inventory, and then see what design we pour it into. That way we can be sure we're making products that really benefit the world.

The people behind the mission.

Meet the team at Circuform. How can we help you?

Ontwerp: Ineke Hans

Ineke Hans is a critical designer of furniture, products, exhibitions and spaces with content. She explores new design strategies and works for clients, communities and leading international manufacturers on product typologies that fit our future social context. After graduating from the RCA in London, she established her studio in Arnhem (NL) in 1998. She has been working with recycled materials and on material efficiency for over 25 years. Her projects are bright and down to earth, both industrial and connected with vernacular approaches. In 2015 Ineke moved back to London to start the London Salons, with the theme: 'The future of furniture design & the changing position of the designer'. She concluded these salons with lectures and exhibitions at the V&A and the pamphlet 'Explore & Act', among others. Since 2017, Ineke has been Professor of Design & Social Context at the Universität der Künste in Berlin with a focus on design impact & climate change.

Ontwerp: Ton Haas

Ton Haas' products are characterized by their respect for the user, translated into clarity in form and material. His work shows great diversity in subject, function and execution. After studying at several academies, including the Academy of Fine Arts in Arnhem and Kingston Polytechnic in London, Ton Haas was co-founder and partner of several industrial studios. Since 1993 Ton Haas has been active in his own company. And since 2006 co-founder of harechair®, a brand for manufacturing, marketing and selling contemporary furniture. Although Ton Haas lives and works in the Caribbean, his focus is global and he has realized projects all over the world.

Erik Munnikhof

In 1986 he graduates from TU Delft, Department of Industrial Design, with Professor Wim Crouwel. He starts working in 1986 as an industrial designer at Kembo, producer of project furniture, based in Veenendaal. His position expanded in 1993 to design manager, responsible for product design. He designs much of the collection himself. He also works with external designers on projects for Kembo. In addition to his design work, he supervises several students and young designers on a variety of projects at Artez, Sandberg Institute/Rietveld Academy, IPO The Hague and the Academy of Visual Arts Maastricht. In 2009, he established himself as an independent designer.

Ontwerp: Just Meijer

Born in the lush landscapes of West Java, Indonesia, Just Meyer found his way back to the Netherlands with his family in the 1950s. After immersing himself in the study of architecture, he was irresistibly drawn toward the enchanting world of furniture design. The ensuing journey saw him create an impressive array of historical designs for KEMBO Furniture Company from the mid-1960s until 1989. Over the years, we've launched myriad successful product ranges that have reached every corner of the globe, forming a robust network of partners. We have license agreements spanning continents - Europe, Africa, and America - each a testament to our shared commitment to bring the best of design to the world. The vision was and still is to design recognizable and idiosyncratic products which combine surprising simplicity with intelligence.

Alexander Pelikan

PeLiDesign is a multidisciplinary design studio. We don't specialise but we have ethics. We want to realize future proof concepts and designs for our clients in diverse fields from furniture to marketing and permaculture design. When Sander from CIRCUFORM approached me we had an immediate click!
