Mode Design Hotel Modez is located in the center of Arnhem. Studio Piet Paris (fashion illustrator) conceived the unique hotel concept, designed the logo and is responsible for the art direction.

To furnish the hotel's rooms, Paris asked a number of Dutch fashion designers, many of whom studied at Arnhem's art academy or have studios in the city. The name Modez comes from the compound Mode, Design and ArtEZ, formerly the Arnhem Academy of Arts. Over thirty Dutch fashion designers and designers attached their names to a room and came up with surprising concepts that characterize their style.
